About This Role
Our teachers create safe, nurturing classroom environments where children feel loved, supported, and excited to learn. The ideal candidate enjoys building positive relationships with children and families, works well as part of a team, and understands that everyday moments are opportunities for learning and connection.
What You'll Do- Create a warm, welcoming, and engaging classroom environment
- Build positive, nurturing relationships with children and families
- Support children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development
- Plan and participate in age-appropriate learning experiences and activities
- Maintain active supervision and ensure children's health and safety at all times
- Communicate professionally and positively with families and coworkers
- Work collaboratively with teaching and administrative teams
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting classroom
- Follow all Texas Rising Star standards and Texas Child Care Regulation requirements
- 18 years of age
- High school diploma or GED
- Able to pass criminal and name-based background check
- At least two years experience working in a Texas Rising Star certified center
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- At least 12 hours of college coursework in Child Development or Early Childhood Education
- CDA certification
- Knowledge of NAEYC accreditation
