About Alameda County Healthy Homes Department
The Alameda County Healthy Homes Department oversees various housing repair programs in Alameda County and is currently seeking Housing Repair Specialists (Healthy Housing Rehabilitation Specialist II) for project or temporary assignments.
Residential Home Repair Specialist (Healthy Housing Rehabilitation Specialist II) $49.75-$59.44 Hourly assesses home repairs, manages contractors, ensures compliance with health and safety standards, and coordinates home modifications, accessibility upgrades, and energy efficiency improvements.
Top Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage projects to meet program objectives.
- Coordinate with contractors for health and safety related repairs.
- Conduct inspections to identify and address home hazards.
Minimum Qualifications + Skills
- High school diploma or GED
- Four years of experience in residential/commercial rehabilitation or equivalent
- Valid CA Driver's License and reliable transportation
- Basic knowledge of residential home repairs
- Computer literate and comfortable with digital systems
Workplace Environment, Physical Requirements, Special Requirements
- Work may be indoors or outdoors, including private homes.
- Regular travel within Alameda County.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and work in various weather conditions.
