Machine Operator - 1st & 2nd Shift

Apply now!1st $20.00/hour (6:00am - 2:30pm) 2nd $20.60/hour (2:00pm - 10:30pm)Machine Operator Responsibilities:- Operate multiple types of fabrication equipment - Operate tools according to instructions, specifications and standard charts - Place and secure work pieces in proper machine table, holding device or other appropriate surface using clamps and wrenches - Load, operate and manufacture a variety of parts using various manufacturing equipment to make custom parts according to customer orders and instructions written on work orders and blueprints - Complete project work as needed involving the assembly of parts that require the use of hand tools, paint accessories and mechanical devices - Complete work order paperwork - Perform in-process inspection according to standard procedures - Maintain count and perform packaging duties as required - Participate in cross training activities to become knowledgeable of equipment/process within the department - Perform routine daily machine maintenance including cleaning up and lubrication - Maintain clean and organized work area - Determine if tools are undamaged and in safe condition for use - Make suggestions to improve production and order processing efficiency - Assist with training other team members - Follow safety rules and quality standards - Model ethical and moral behavior consistent with the company valuesRequirements for Machine Operator:- High School Diploma or GED with prior hands on, vocational or job-related course work/training, or any similar combination of education and experience - Previous experience in the manufacturing industry - Excellent math and problem-solving skills - Good communication skills - Willingness to adapt and open to change due to emergency orders or fabrication of parts - Able to perform work independently with minimal defects - Able to understand drawings and blueprints - Able to use basic measuring instruments - Able to follow written and verbal instructions - Able to work overtime as needed - Able to frequently lift and/or move up to 40 poundsQPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
