Team Manager – PANERA CAFE Overview As a Team Manager at Panera, you are key to the success of your bakery‑cafe. You manage a wide range of responsibilities to ensure that both customers and associates have a great experience. You report directly to the General Manager or Operating Partner and oversee a different part of the bakery‑cafe, from food cost management to drive‑thru, delivery, or catering operations. Ensure extraordinary guest experiences by delighting customers with quality food, service, staff, and safety. Build engaging relationships that lead to long‑term, loyal customers. Coach and motivate the team to exceed bakery‑cafe goals for sales, speed of service, order accuracy, and café health. Train the team on food safety standards and ensure compliance. Lead, manage, and develop associates: hire, onboard, provide ongoing training, give constructive feedback, and celebrate achievements. Keep the team energized, engaged, and focused on excellence. Qualifications Proven ability to direct, motivate, coach, and develop others in a fast‑paced environment. Demonstrated ability to run great shifts. 1+ year(s) of restaurant management experience preferred. ServSafe certification or ability to pass the certification. At least 18 years of age. Must submit to a background check. Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends. Commitment to health and food safety standards.
