Role Description The Assistant role at American Family Insurance is a full-time, on-site position based in Wildwood, MO. This role supports daily office operations, including scheduling appointments, answering phone and email inquiries, and assisting customers with policy information, billing questions, and claim-related requests. The Assistant helps agents prepare documents, process forms, and maintain accurate records in internal systems. The role also involves organizing files, managing incoming and outgoing correspondence, and collaborating with team members to ensure a smooth and professional customer experience. The Assistant may support basic marketing or outreach efforts, such as preparing materials and updating customer contact information.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational and administrative skills, including scheduling, document handling, and data entry.
• Customer service and communication skills to interact effectively with policyholders by phone, email, and in person.
• Basic proficiency with office software and systems (e.g., email, word processing, spreadsheets, and CRM or similar tools).
• Attention to detail and accuracy when processing forms, maintaining records, and preparing documents.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workload, and follow established procedures with minimal supervision.
• Professional demeanor, reliability, and a commitment to acting with integrity and confidentiality.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or insurance/office experience is beneficial.
• Willingness to learn insurance terminology, products, and processes; prior experience in an insurance or financial services environment is a plus.
