Director, Solutions Consulting

As Director of Solutions Consulting at Stampli, you will lead a critical, revenue-driving function responsible for how we win complex, high-value deals.

You will define and scale a best-in-class pre-sales organization that directly impacts pipeline conversion, deal size, and competitive win rates. This role sits at the center of our go-to-market motion, partnering closely with Sales, Product, and Customer Success to ensure Stampli’s value is clearly differentiated and consistently proven in the market.

What You Will Do:

• Own Technical Win Strategy & Revenue Impact
• Own the technical win strategy across enterprise and mid-market deals, directly influencing win rates, deal velocity, and ACV
• Lead competitive deal strategy, positioning Stampli effectively in head-to-head evaluations and displacement scenarios
• Act as executive sponsor on strategic opportunities, guiding discovery, solution alignment, and value articulation
• Ensure rigorous technical validation (POCs, integrations, workflows) that reduce buyer risk and accelerate decisions
• Build and Scale a High-Performance Team
• Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing Solutions Consulting team with clear expectations and accountability to revenue outcomes
• Establish scalable frameworks, methodologies, and operating rhythms for pre-sales excellence
• Elevate consistency and quality of demos, technical storytelling, and solution design across the team
• Lead as a player-coach, actively engaging in deals while developing team capability
• Drive Go-To-Market Excellence
• Partner with Sales leadership to prioritize pipeline, improve conversion at each stage, and refine deal strategy
• Equip the team with clear differentiation frameworks to win against key competitors
• Collaborate with Marketing and Enablement to continuously refine messaging, demo narratives, and competitive positioning
• Evolve Stampli’s pre-sales motion to align with market dynamics and growth objectives

• Influence Product & Market Strategy
• Partner with Product and Engineering to influence roadmap priorities based on market and customer insights
• Collaborate with Marketing and Enablement to refine messaging, demo narratives, and competitive positioning
• Ensure seamless handoffs to Implementation and Customer Success to drive long-term customer value
• Operational Rigor & Scale
• Define and track performance metrics tied to revenue impact (win rates, deal cycle time, technical close rates)
• Drive inspection, coaching, and continuous improvement across the team
• Build scalable assets (demo environments, POCs, technical collateral) that increase efficiency without sacrificing quality
• Establish structure where needed while maintaining speed and adaptability in a high-growth environment
• Executive Engagement & Market Presence
• Engage directly with CFOs, Controllers, and senior finance leaders to position Stampli as a strategic partner
• Represent Stampli in key customer conversations, partner engagements, and industry events

What You Will Bring:

• Proven Revenue Influence
• Track record of materially improving win rates, deal size, or sales cycle efficiency in a pre-sales leadership role
• Experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder deals across all segments
• Leadership at Scale
• 8–12+ years in Solutions Consulting / Sales Engineering, including 3–5+ years leading and scaling teams
• Demonstrated ability to hire, develop, and retain top talent in high-performance environments 
• Deep Domain Expertise
• Strong understanding of ERP ecosystems and financial workflows (AP, P2P, etc.)
• Experience positioning solutions within complex system landscapes
• Expert Communication Skills & Ability to Influence
• Ability to engage, challenge, and influence senior finance stakeholders
• Skilled at translating technical capabilities into clear business outcomes and ROI
• Technical & Strategic Depth
• Strong understanding of integrations, system architecture, and solution design
• Ability to balance technical depth with commercial priorities
