Volt is immediately hiring for a Forge Helper in Rochester, NY.

As a Forge Helper, you will:

• Assist with setup and operation of hydraulic forging equipment
• Monitor and adjust CNC programs, furnaces, and forging processes
• Measure parts using calipers, scales, and gauges
• Inspect forged parts for quality and defects
• Read work orders, travelers, and basic blueprints
• Transport materials using forklifts and manipulators
• Perform daily maintenance and workstation upkeep
• Follow all safety and quality procedures
• Collaborate across shifts to meet production targets

This is a full-time, temp to hire opportunity. Monday - Friday 5:00pm to 5:00am

The ideal candidate will have the following experience:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Must be available for 12-hour night shifts, weekends, and overtime
• Basic math skills and ability to read measurements
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Able to lift up to 30 lbs regularly

Pay rate: $18.00 + $1.00 shift differential per hour
