About the Role

As a Field Service Engineer, II (FSE), your primary responsibility is to provide advanced technical support to Kubota dealers and internal departments. You will play a crucial role in enhancing their product knowledge and training, improving the effectiveness and efficiency of repair and maintenance, and elevating the quality of their operations.

What You'll Do

This position does the following in accordance with all applicable Federal, State, and local laws / regulations and the Company's policies, procedures, and guidelines:

• Advanced Technical Support: Provide in-depth technical assistance to Kubota dealers and other Kubota departments through various communication channels, including phone calls, online systems, and in-person visits. Utilize your expertise to troubleshoot complex issues and provide comprehensive solutions. Report on recommendations and actions taken.
• Root Cause Analysis and Advanced Solutions: Conduct thorough analysis of parts and components from the field to identify root causes of failures. Generate detailed reports on your findings and propose advanced field service solutions. Collaborate closely with the Warranty and Parts Departments to address complex technical issues.
• Communication and Information Sharing: Effectively communicate service concerns and advanced solutions to dealer and company personnel through Service Bulletins, comprehensive reports, telephone conversations, and other appropriate communication methods. Ensure accurate and detailed documentation of all interactions.
• Training and Knowledge Transfer: Act as a subject matter expert, providing advanced training sessions to dealers, co-workers, and other company staff. Share your in-depth knowledge of Kubota products, systems, and advanced servicing methods to enhance their technical proficiency.
• Sales Organization Support: Support Kubota's Sales Organization at internal and external company events by addressing complex product complaints and providing detailed responses to field-related product questions. Function as a technical resource for the sales team.
• Technical Training and Development: Continuously update your skills and knowledge through advanced technical training programs. Stay abreast of the latest industry advancements and emerging technologies relevant to the field.
• Market Research and Reporting: Monitor market trends and conduct research on new product developments. Provide insightful reports and recommendations to relevant stakeholders as appropriate.
• Kubota University Support: Collaborate with Kubota University to develop and deliver advanced service-focused training programs. Share your expertise and contribute to the continuous improvement of training materials.
• Assigned Activities: Undertake additional activities and projects related to the position as assigned by management, leveraging your advanced technical skills and knowledge.
• Other duties as assigned.

What We Are Looking For

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field preferred:
• With a degree at least 3 years of experience providing technical support experience required.
• In lieu of a degree at least 5 years of experience providing technical support experience required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills: ability to explain complex technical concepts effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills: adept at analyzing information, conducting advanced troubleshooting, and developing innovative solutions.
• Advanced technical skills: extensive experience and expertise in repairing and maintaining off-highway equipment.
• Proficiency in MS Office and relevant technical software.
• Collaborative mindset: ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and contribute to the success of complex projects.
• Uses effective oral and written communication skills; delivers information in a clear and concise manner, listens and communicates effectively with others.

Physical Requirements

• Requires sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes, to permit the employee to function in a general office environment and accomplish tasks and duties as outlined above.
• Performance of the duties of this job will expose the person to potential hazards including noise, chemicals, paints, fuels, dust, heat, moving parts and operation of mechanical or electrical equipment.
