Contract | Night Shift | Onsite | Every Other Weekend and Every Other Holiday Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 15-bed Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit serving post-surgical and acute medical patients with short anticipated length of stay
• Manage nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4–5 (days) and 1:5–6 (nights), adjusting as needed based on nursing assistant availability
• Titrate drips including Heparin and occasionally Nitroglycerin, Cardizem, and Insulin per physician orders
• Monitor and interpret telemetry in coordination with remote GE telemetry monitoring technicians
• Collaborate with charge nurses, house supervisors, nursing assistants, and respiratory therapy to deliver coordinated patient care
• Float to other adult medical/surgical nursing units as required based on staffing needs

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Minimum 1–2 years of acute care nursing experience
• Experience titrating IV drips
• Ability to work night shifts and adhere to block scheduling requirements

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with post-surgical patient populations including Orthopedics, Urology, GYN/ONC, Neurosurgery, Vascular Surgery, ENT, Plastics, or GI
• Familiarity with CPAP, BiPAP, and High Flow Oxygen Therapy
• Prior telemetry unit experience with GE monitoring systems
