Minimum Qualification Requirements The Department of the Interior is devoted to protecting and preserving the natural resources of this great nation, including National Parks, Landmarks, and the well-being of communities, including those of Native American, Alaska Natives and affiliated Islanders. To qualify for this position you must meet either A, B, or C below: A. GS-11 Specialized Experience To qualify for the GS-11, you must possess at least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service, or comparable experience not gained through Federal service. Specialized experience is experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience is defined as demonstrated experience: Coordinating financial records and/or development of written deliverables with government staff, partners and counterparts in foreign countries (experience in Latin American countries preferred). Overseeing the planning and logistics for technical exchanges, workshops and/or field activities with foreign partners, providing on-the-ground coordination as needed. Reviewing work products and records from English-speaking and Spanish-speaking technical staff in virtual and in-person settings to ensure accuracy and completeness. Managing financial and administrative recordkeeping for overseas projects, to include payment systems and tracking associated expenses in multiple currencies to maintain compliant records. Identifying operational issues and implementing process improvements by collaborating across teams, cultural contexts, and external partners. MUST MEET 3 OF 5. B. Education Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, OR 3 full academic years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree, OR LL.M., if related. C. Combination of Experience and Education I possess equivalent combinations of successfully completed graduate level education and experience that total 100% of the experience requirements for the GS-11 grade level.
