United Health Services is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Nurse Resident for a nursing job in Binghamton, New York. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Nurse Resident Discipline: RN Duration: Ongoing 24 hours per week Shift: 8 hours Employment Type: Staff The Nurse Resident on the units protects, promotes, and optimizes health and abilities, prevention of illness and injury, and the alleviation of suffering through the diagnosis and treatment of human response and through advocacy in the care of individuals and families. The Nurse Resident is responsible and accountable for compliance to all standards of practice and professional development in accordance with the New York State Nurse Practice Act, United Health Services and Nursing Division policies, ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics for Nurses, and the Bill of Patient Rights. The Nurse Resident promotes a caring and healing environment for patient-centered care. Education/Experience Minimum Required: A graduate of an accredited school of Nursing Preferred: Bachelors of Science degree in Nursing Previous clinical nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting License/Certification Minimum Required: Current New York State Registered Nurse License or Limited Permit CPR within 3 months of hire Preferred: Professional certification in a related nursing specialty Relevant skills certification (i.e., ACLS, Basic Coronary) Work Environment Work is performed in an office environment and patient care areas which require working in proximity to other employees and patients. Rooms are air-conditioned and heated. Fast paced environment with frequent interruptions. Exposure to equipment cleaning solutions and disinfectants. PPE (Eyewear, Masks, Face shields, Shoe covers, and Gloves) as required by UHS Infection Control policies.
