Job Summary:
A Sterile Processing Technician position is available in Bethpage, New York. This role involves working at a busy, state-of-the-art off-site reprocessing center that provides sterile processing services for multiple facilities, including tertiary sites and ambulatory surgery centers. Candidates are required to bring their sterile processing certification (CRCST or CSPD) on the first day of assignment. The schedule involves evening shifts from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, with every other weekend required.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Evenings, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, minimum 37.5 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent; sterile processing certification (CRCST or CSPD) that does not expire during the assignment; 2 years of certified experience in tertiary setting OR 1 year of certified experience with 4 years of SPT experience in tertiary setting; ability to lift/carry 25 pounds; manual dexterity; ability to stand, bend, lift and reach for extended periods; effective communication in English (verbal and written); must bring license on first day
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience operating STERIS Washers, Autoclave Information Technology (IT) systems such as Synergy Trak, Ultrasonic machines, steam and ethylene oxide sterilizers, heat sealers, and adherence to department protocols
• Additional Information: Scrubs provided and must be laundered at the facility; shoes, jewelry, hair, and beard must be covered; no nail polish; free parking available; every other weekend work required.
