Job Summary:
A Sterile Processing Technician position is available in Bethpage, New York. This role involves working in a busy state-of-the-art off-site reprocessing center providing sterile processing services for multiple facilities, including tertiary sites and ambulatory surgery centers. Candidates are required to bring their Sterile Processing certification on the first day. The role involves night shifts from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Job Details:

• Certifications, Education, and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent, required; Sterile processing certification (CRCST or CSPD) that must not expire during the assignment; two years of certified experience in a tertiary setting or one year of certified experience with four years of SPT experience in tertiary setting.
• Schedule: Night shift from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM, totaling 8 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Ability to lift and carry 25 pounds, manual dexterity, ability to stand, bend, lift, and reach for extended periods, effective communication in English (verbal and written), ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Additional Information: Every other weekend required; scrubs provided and must be laundered at the facility; shoes, jewelry, hair, and beard must be covered; no nail polish; free parking available. The candidate must be able to rotate through all areas including decontamination, operate washers, sterilizers, ultrasonic machines, steam and ethylene oxide sterilizers, heat sealers, and other equipment, and follow department protocols.
