Full-Time Orthopedic Physical Therapist in Home Care

Position Overview

Gotham Enterprises Ltd is seeking a dedicated and experienced Full-Time Physical Therapist to join our orthopedic outpatient practice located in Valley Stream, New York. This role requires a professional capable of partnering with patients throughout their journey to restore mobility and enhance their quality of life. As a Physical Therapist, you will play a crucial role in diagnostic assessments and provide evidence-based treatment interventions aimed at rehabilitation and pain management.

Our team is composed of highly trained professionals, including two experienced Physical Therapists and one Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), all dedicated to fostering an environment of healing and growth.

Work Environment

This position is fully onsite, providing care to patients in a collaborative therapeutic environment within our facility. You will benefit from a supportive team atmosphere that encourages communication and teamwork. The work schedule is set Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a structured work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess patients' goals and needs, establishing personalized treatment plans.
• Manage a caseload of 2-3 patients per hour, delivering focused and effective therapies that improve movement and alleviate pain.
• Utilize a variety of evidence-based treatment techniques, including manual therapy and exercise regimens tailored to individual patient requirements.
• Develop and implement fitness and wellness programs aimed at enhancing the overall physical capabilities of patients.
• Regularly assess patient progress, documenting care services meticulously to ensure compliance and communication among team members.
• Educate and motivate patients to support their rehabilitation journey, focusing on optimal function and healthy lifestyles.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals as needed to enhance patient care and ensure a holistic approach to health.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our client base primarily consists of individuals requiring orthopedic care, ranging from post-surgical rehabilitation to preventative treatment for physical ailments. We focus on providing personalized attention that respects each patient's unique challenges and goals, fostering a caring environment where patients feel supported and empowered throughout their recovery process.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree.
• Current New Jersey Physical Therapist License, with no board actions or disciplinary actions.
• Strong manual therapy skills and proficiency in therapeutic exercises.
• Ability to effectively utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software, particularly WebPT, to streamline documentation and patient management.

Preferred Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting.
• Demonstrated success in developing personalized rehabilitation plans and managing diverse patient needs.

Compensation and Benefits

The Physical Therapist position offers an attractive salary range of $100,000 - $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
