Licensed Practical Nurse PRN - Asthma Sinus Allergy & Pulmonary Clinic

Job Summary As a member of the healthcare team, the LPN assists the Physician and/or Physician Extender in the technical nursing care given to patients. The LPN carries out functions that support patient care and works under the supervision of the Director/Assistant Director and the Physician and/or physician extender. Key Responsibilities Assessment and re-assessment of patients Provide direct care to patients of all ages Carries out tasks supportive to the patient care unit Technical Capabilities Clinical Patient Documentation (Novice): Demonstrates fundamental proficiency in patient documentation, collecting, reporting, and recording objective and subjective data accurately and timely. LPN Patient Education (Novice): Demonstrates fundamental proficiency in patient education, working under guidance while completing assignments. LPN Care Planning (Novice): Participates in developing the plan of care, anticipating resource needs, setting priorities, scheduling activities, meeting deadlines, and adapting to changes with minimal disruption. Clinical Competency (Novice): Demonstrates fundamental proficiency in nursing interventions such as wound care, point‑of‑care testing, and vital signs, working under guidance to complete assignments.
