Education High school graduate or equivalent Experience / Qualifications Current Certified Nursing Assistant licensure in the state of Florida American Heart Association BLS for Health Care Provider Unit Secretary Experience required Position Summary The Unit Secretary/ Certified Nursing Assistant is a member of the nursing team who contributes to the comfort and well-being of the patients and works under the direction of the Registered Nurse. Performs specifically assigned patient care tasks Performs clerical duties such as answering the patient call lights and phone, and entering physician orders into the computer Performs other duties as assigned Team Member Competencies Establishing Relationships Builds effective networks, working relationships, and alliances in order to collaborate effectively within department and organization. Physical Requirements This job can be physically demanding at times requiring stooping, sitting, standing, and walking for long periods of time. The team member will need to frequently assist lifting patients and heavy equipment. Must be able to work in a stressful environment, work independently, making sound decisions, detail oriented, alert, and self-motivated. Ability to push/pull up to 40lbs, carry and lift up to 50lbs.
