Travel RN - Operating Room

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Operating Room position requiring 1 year of recent acute care hospital experience, BLS/ACLS certification, and a CO or compact RN license.

Job Details

• Work in an 8-room Operating Room unit within a hospital setting,
• Team includes Charge RN, RNs, CST, and Anesthesia staff, supported by service line leaders,
• Day shift hours of operation are 7am-5:30pm with a night shift on-call team,
• Patient ratio is 1:1,
• Procedures performed include Orthopedic, ENT, Urology, Spine, General, GYN, Endoscopy, Plastics, and Cardiac,
• Uses Meditech EMR,
• Utilizes various equipment including Belmont rapid infusion,
• 13-week assignment on a 7A-7P schedule,
• On-call responsibilities required with a 30-minute response time,
• Call rotates between 1st, 2nd, and 3rd call, mixed with weekdays and weekends over an 8-week period,
• Call assignments have historically ranged around 7-8 shifts within that period,

Job Requirements

• Active RN license (CO or compact) required,
• Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital experience required,
• BLS and ACLS certifications required,
• Meditech EMR experience preferred,
• Transplant and spine surgery experience preferred,
• Ability to function across multiple service lines preferred,
• Strong teamwork skills with providers and staff,
• Patient care experience is a priority,

Additional Information

• Provide perioperative nursing care across a variety of surgical specialties,
• Collaborate closely with Charge RN, CSTs, and Anesthesia staff in a supportive team environment,
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for the position, as local candidates will not be considered
