Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery (LDRP) Contract Position

Location: Dickson, TN

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, Full-time, 3 shifts per week, rotating weekends and holidays.

Job Description: The Registered Nurse for Labor and Delivery (LDRP) will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care for laboring mothers and their newborns. The role includes managing labor, delivery, postpartum recovery, and assessing and transitioning newborn infants. The candidate must possess charge experience and a strong foundation in handling OB emergencies.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor active laboring patients and provide overall care during delivery and postpartum recovery.
• Conduct thorough assessments of mothers and newborns.
• Administer and manage medications and interventions as necessary.
• Handle potential OB emergencies, including shoulder dystocia and postpartum hemorrhage.
• Perform procedures such as C-sections, circumcisions, and vacuum or forceps assisted deliveries.
• Facilitate daily rounding on all patients to ensure safety and quality of care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Must have Labor and Delivery experience.
• Certification in BLS, NRP, and Fetal Monitoring training is required.
• Experience with inductions using Pitocin and Cervidil is preferred.
• Advanced skills in fetal monitoring and neonatal assessments.
