Senior Employment Associate Attorney

A well-respected Pennsylvania law firm with a nationally recognized healthcare practice, is seeking a  Senior Employment Attorney to join its growing team. This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced management-side employment attorney to step into an established practice, work closely with long-term business and healthcare clients, and play a key role in rebuilding and expanding the firm's employment law group.

What You'll Do as the Senior Employment Attorney

• Counsel employers on a broad range of day-to-day employment matters, including employee relations, disciplinary actions, terminations, employee handbooks, ADA, FMLA, wage and hour compliance, workplace investigations, restrictive covenants, and employment policies.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to business clients, with a significant focus on long-term care providers, nursing homes, and other healthcare organizations.
• Represent employers in employment-related litigation and administrative proceedings involving discrimination, retaliation, wage and hour claims, unemployment compensation, and other workplace disputes.
• Draft and negotiate employment agreements, policies, separation agreements, and other employment-related documents.
• Handle litigation matters from strategy through resolution, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motions, hearings, mediations, and trial preparation.
• Stay current on developments in employment law and provide proactive guidance, client alerts, presentations, and training as needed.
• Collaborate with attorneys across multiple practice areas to provide comprehensive legal solutions for clients.

Must Haves

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Active admission to the Pennsylvania Bar.
• Approximately 8–12 years of management-side employment law experience (exceptional candidates with slightly more or less experience will be considered).
• Strong experience counseling employers on day-to-day employment issues.
• Experience handling employment litigation and administrative matters.
• Excellent written, verbal, and client relationship skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience representing healthcare providers, long-term care facilities, or other regulated employers.
• Experience reviewing and drafting employee handbooks and workplace policies.
• Strong background advising employers on employee terminations, workplace investigations, and compliance matters.
• Existing client relationships or business development experience is a plus, but  no portable book of business is required .
