Rubicon Refractories Inc. is looking for a hardworking and dependable General Laborer to join our team in Hammond, IN. Responsibilities:

• Perform general labor tasks in support of daily precast refractory operations and production
• Assist with loading, unloading, and moving materials, equipment, and supplies
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with safety standards
• Support skilled tradespeople and crew members with installation and maintenance tasks
• Operate basic hand tools and power tools as directed
• Follow all company safety protocols, PPE requirements, and OSHA guidelines
• Complete tasks efficiently and accurately under the direction of a supervisor

Requirements:

• Prior experience in general labor, construction, or industrial/manufacturing environments preferred but not required
• Ability to perform physically demanding work including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
• Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player with a positive work ethic
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in a fast-paced environment
• Basic knowledge of hand tools and safety equipment a plus
• Must be able to work in varying indoor and outdoor conditions
• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required
• Experience operating forklifts and overhead cranes is a plus but not required
