COMSEC/KMI Database Administrator, TS Clearance

Salary: $120,000 - 170,000 per year Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience in COMSEC operations, secure communications, and controlled-accountability systems.
• Demonstrated experience supporting government agencies, customers, or contracts in federal environments, including the Intelligence Community, Department of Defense, federal civilian agencies, or military organizations. Experience on the same or a similar contract, with familiarity with the customer environment and operational requirements, is highly desirable.
• Security+ certification meeting DoD 8570 IAT Level II requirements.
• KMI certification.
• Active Top Secret clearance.
• U.S. citizenship.
• Preferred: experience with COMSEC accountability databases, SQL and enterprise database platforms, KMI operational workflows, or classified data-management environments.

• Administer and support databases used for COMSEC and controlled-accountability systems.
• Maintain database integrity, availability, security, and accuracy.
• Support KMI operational and data-management requirements.
• Monitor and troubleshoot database performance and technical issues.
• Support data reconciliation, validation, reporting, and audit readiness.
• Assist with database backups, recovery, patching, maintenance, and lifecycle activities.
• Support interfaces between databases and COMSEC applications.
• Maintain accurate, traceable accountability data and help investigate and resolve discrepancies.
• Develop and maintain database procedures and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with developers, systems integrators, cybersecurity personnel, and operations staff.

We are collaborating with hackajob to recruit a COMSEC/KMI Database Administrator for our Department of State COMSEC IT Services contract. This role supports database and data-management activities for COMSEC operations, secure communications, controlled-accountability systems, and Key Management Infrastructure. The position is based onsite in the DMV area, with a low-noise office environment and a Monday–Friday day-shift schedule; evening or weekend work may be requested to meet program and contract needs. Travel is under 10%. The target salary range is $120,000–$170,000, with the final amount dependent on factors including qualifications, experience, contract parameters, and organizational requirements. This position supports a proposed government contract and is contingent on contract award and government approval; a Letter of Commitment may be required.
