ROLE SUMMARY The Lead Bartender will work closely within-venue management to ensure that the bar is maintaining Theh.woodGroup’s standards of excellence relating to attitude, customer service, employee relations, and job performance. The ideal candidate will be an energetic professional who excels at multitasking. They are well organized, flexible and enjoy the challenges of working in a fast-paced environment. RESPONSIBILITIES Create cocktail and liquor menus in conjunction with in-venue management. Manage the bar and cocktail program to ensure alignment with venue concept. Maintain inventory control and receiving all liquor and related supplies in conjunction with in-venue management. Coordinate all weekly ordering in consultation with management. Lead all new hire beverage training in consultation with in-venue managers. Ensure compliance of all local, state, and federal laws and regulations. Ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of the bar and bar equipment. Assist in cocktail development for seasonal and trend changes. Perform all guest contact activities in a cordial, efficient and professional manner, maintaining a commitment to guest satisfaction. Recognize areas for improvement and offer positive solutions for change. Handling cash, credit, and debit card transactions, ensuring charges are accurate and returning correct change to patrons, balancing the cash register. Perform all opening and closing duties. Perform other related duties as assigned. Attend monthly meetings with beverage director. REQUIREMENTS Thorough understanding of Japanese mixology and cocktail programs. Must have attention to detail and willingness to deliver exceptional customer service. Must be able to stand during entire shift, often up to 8 hours with frequent bending, squatting, and lifting. Must be 21+ years of age. Must be authorized to work in the United States. Must be willing to travel. Must have high energy, great communication skills, and be able to work as part of a team. Must be reliable, responsible, and trustworthy. Must be able to maintain a professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment. Must have excellent time management skills.
