The University of Miami/UHealth Department of SCCC has an exciting opportunity for a Full Time Outreach Specialist 1 to work at the UHealth campus in Miami, Fl. CORE JOB SUMMARY The Outreach Specialist 1 (H) supports in developing and implementing new and existing public education and outreach programs serving as a liaison to the community. Moreover, this position performs a wide variety of duties and demonstrates a high level of professionalism and effectiveness. CORE JOB FUNCTIONS

• Supports in the development and implementation of public education and outreach programs.
• Works with community-based organizations to plan promotional educational and other events targeted towards designing an increased awareness in the community.
• Aids with the preparation and distribution of public health education and navigation manuals.
• Develops professional relationships with mental health providers, researchers, and community members.
• Collaborates with other members of the team on special projects and events.
• Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS Education: High School diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's degree in relevant field preferred Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes:

• Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships.
• Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail.
• Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines.
• Commitment to the University's core values.
• Ability to work independently and/or in a collaborative environment.
• Proficiency in computer software (i.e. Microsoft Office).
