Postdoctoral Research Associate AD Position Overview Title: Postdoctoral Research Associate AD Department: CAES-Animal & Dairy Science Location: Athens Area Employment Type: Employee Duties and Responsibilities Conduct research in the laboratory on projects in quantitative genetics and genomics. Develop novel methods for animal breeding and genetics. Perform analyses in fish data. Write and report research findings. Qualifications Ph.D. with a strong background in cell biology, genetics, neuroscience, bioinformatics, or related fields. Highly motivated researcher with experience in stem cell EV research, including production, collection, purification, characterization, labeling, proteomic, lipidomic profiling, mitochondrial transfer, and role in brain inflammation (preferred). Knowledge of quantitative genetics, genomics, and statistical genetics. Proficiency in R, Unix bash scripting, and BLUPF90. Strong analytical and communication skills. Physical Demands Full-time position; physical demands are in line with typical laboratory work.
