Operations Specialist

Company: Cox Automotive – USA Job Family: Vehicle Operations Job Profile: Vehicle Operations Support Specialist II Management Level: Individual Contributor Work Location: Specified Cox location (no remote option) Travel: % of Travel Compensation Hourly base pay rate: $16.59 – $24.86/hour. Base rate may vary within this range based on location and candidate qualifications. Additional compensation may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program. Job Responsibilities Drive vehicles to and from designated areas on auction premises, observing auction driving rules, road rules, and demonstrating courtesy and defensive driving principles. Line up and park vehicles in the correct order as directed by the supervisor or team leader, move vehicles as necessary, and locate "lost" vehicles. Assist with getting vehicles operating as needed. Inflate tires and jump‑start vehicles using a battery box and air tank if necessary. Notify the supervisor when a vehicle is inoperative; notify the Service or Gas Truck Driver when the vehicle is out of gas. Assist customers (e.g., dealers, account representatives, rental agencies) and coworkers as needed. Demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling the behaviors related to such. Actively participate in support of all safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Report theft, lot damage, or any safety concerns to management. Coordinate and direct vehicle movement to maintain continuous flow of traffic. Qualifications Minimum: High School Diploma/GED and 3 years of experience in a related field. Alternative: Any level degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED in a related discipline, or 5 years of experience in a related field. Valid driver’s license and safe driving record required. Drug Testing To be employed in this role, a pre‑employment drug test is required. Cox Automotive does not administer a pre‑employment drug test for marijuana for this position.
