About the Team The Air Dominance & Strike team develops aerial and multi‑domain robotic systems, including the Fury unmanned fighter jet and Barracuda air‑breathing cruise missile. The team takes products from concept to production, collaborating with specialist teams such as Perception, Motion Planning, Hardware, and Test Engineering. We are building a powerful autonomy software stack that includes computer vision, motion planning, SLAM, controls, estimation, and secure communications. About the Job As a Data Scientist, you will work on high‑stakes, advanced technology challenges in the defense sector. Your expertise will drive innovation in autonomous systems and shape the future of defense and intelligence by delivering solutions at unprecedented speed. Required Qualifications A background in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related technical field with a strong quantitative foundation. 3+ years of experience building data transformations, pipelines, and analysis tooling in Python. Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments and efficient management of distributed computing systems. Experience working with large and complex datasets and navigating established codebases and system architectures. A commitment to applying data science to solve real‑world problems, translating findings into actionable recommendations. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, engaging effectively with multidisciplinary teams. Preferred Qualifications Experience with digital twin simulation, robotics, or multi‑agent autonomous systems. Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). Knowledge of data governance, ethics, privacy, and compliance for sensitive information. Leadership experience mentoring junior data scientists and leading project teams. Experience with terabyte‑scale data, robotics data formats (e.g., MCAP, HDF5), and dataframes (Pandas, PySpark). Salary $166,000 – $220,000 USD (base salary, inclusive of other compensation factors).
