About the Role
The Company is in search of a Vice Chair for Network Inpatient Services and Section Chief of Hospital Medicine. The successful candidate will be a distinguished clinician, leader, educator, and innovator with a strong background in internal medicine. This role is pivotal in leading the development of innovative programs and managing clinical operations for the hospital medicine service, which is essential to the organization's performance. The Vice Chair and Chief will be responsible for recruiting and mentoring faculty and trainees, enhancing clinical protocols, and ensuring the academic mission is aligned with the division's and the company's goals. Collaboration with various departments to optimize patient care, safety, and efficiency is a key aspect of the position. Candidates for this role at the company should have an MD, DO, or equivalent degree, be board-certified in internal medicine, and have a minimum of 10 years of clinical experience. Experience in resident education and prior leadership in an academic inpatient setting are highly desired. The role requires a leader with a proven track record in organizational and communication skills, as well as in teaching and research. The Vice Chair and Chief will be expected to work closely with the internal medicine residency program and other clinical services to ensure high-quality, evidence-based, and patient-centered care. The position also involves a significant administrative component, with an emphasis on continuous improvement and the ability to adapt to a changing healthcare environment.
