Automotive Parts Delivery Driver

Responsibilities Safely operate a company vehicle while delivering products to customers. Manually load and unload the delivery truck, verify parts loaded and unloaded, and ensure the manifest and other paperwork are accurate. Collect payments from customers, obtain signatures from receiving locations confirming accuracy of parts, and deliver returned items back to the location. Make proper notations on the manifest and provide receipts for parts returned from customers. Collect accounts receivable as necessary. Comply with established company policies and procedures, including annual training and FMCSA regulations. Provide excellent customer service during delivery and pickup of products. Assume other duties as assigned; the role does not involve supervising employees. Minimum Requirements No degree required. At least 1 year of relevant experience. Valid driver’s license and safe driving record. Qualify for corporate insurance programs, including vehicle insurance. Meet Department of Transportation (DOT) testing and physical requirements and be knowledgeable of DOT regulations. At least 21 years of age. Comply with state and local mandated requirements, DOT, and FMCSA regulations. Preferred Qualifications High school diploma or GED. At least six months of related delivery driving experience. Experience in warehouse operations. Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division in whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Frequent use of Outlook, Word, Excel, and graphics applications. Basic oral communication skills and ability to write brief messages and keep simple records. Routine problem–solving ability following clear directions and procedures. Decision making that affects one’s own job or assigned functional area. Physical Demands Occasionally required to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, reach, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or sit for extended periods. May need to lift up to 75 pounds. May be exposed to hazardous situations, extreme temperatures, high noise levels, and cramped spaces or underneath vehicles.
