Project Manager

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join Hypower's Underground Division. This individual will work directly under the Division Manager and be responsible for leading underground utility, electrical infrastructure, telecom, and civil construction projects throughout South Florida.

The ideal candidate comes from a specialty contractor, utility contractor, electrical contractor, telecom contractor, or heavy civil construction background and has a proven track record managing project financials, operations, schedules, and client relationships. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior-level construction professional who enjoys owning projects from award through closeout while partnering closely with field leadership.

Responsibilities

• Oversee underground utility, electrical infrastructure, telecom, and civil construction projects

• Manage project budgets, forecasts, cost controls, and overall financial performance

• Lead project planning, scheduling, and execution from preconstruction through closeout

• Review and manage:

○ RFIs

○ Submittals

○ Change Orders

○ Pay Applications

○ Project Schedules

○ Contract Documentation

• Coordinate closely with operations, superintendents, field leadership, subcontractors, and clients

• Mentor and lead Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and Project Engineers

• Ensure successful delivery of multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality, safety, and profitability

• Support business growth through strong client relationships and project execution

Skills and Requirements

• 7+ years of Project Management experience within construction

• Background with a General Contractor or Specialty Contractor/Subcontractor

• Experience managing underground utility, electrical infrastructure, telecom, civil infrastructure, roadway, or heavy civil construction projects

• Strong understanding of:

○ Construction financials

○ Cost control

○ Contract administration

○ Change management

○ Project forecasting

• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously

• Strong leadership and client-facing skills

• Engineering background preferred:

○ Civil Engineering

○ Mechanical Engineering

○ Electrical Engineering • Underground utility construction experience

• Electrical distribution or power infrastructure experience

• Telecom infrastructure experience

• FDOT, roadway, or transportation project experience

• Experience working for specialty contractors/subcontractors

• Experience managing self-perform crews and coordinating field operations
