This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a high‑volume estimating environment while taking pride in detailed, well‑built bids. What You’ll Be Estimating TxDOT roadway and transportation projects Municipal infrastructure and public works Self‑performed civil scopes: earthwork, concrete, paving, and drainage Utility and MEP scopes that are subcontracted but must be understood and carried What You’ll Do Prepare accurate, competitive estimates for TxDOT and municipal projects Manage multiple bids concurrently in a high‑throughput estimating environment Perform detailed takeoffs and pricing for self‑performed work Solicit, level, and vet subcontractor pricing to ensure complete scope coverage Support bid strategy, risk evaluation, and value engineering efforts Work closely with preconstruction and operations through bid submission Qualifications 5+ years of estimating experience in TxDOT and municipal heavy civil Proven ability to estimate at volume without sacrificing detail Strong understanding of utilities and MEP scopes, even if not self‑performed Proficiency with HCSS HeavyBid, AGTEK, Excel, or similar tools Experience in the DFW / North Texas market preferred Environment Collaborative estimating team High‑volume pipeline (~$100M in bids per month) Emphasis on accuracy, consistency, and repeatable processes Send your resume and projects to View email address on click.appcast.io.
