Quality Specialist II

Quality SpecialistECU Health's Quality Department is seeking a Quality Specialist to support large-scale improvement initiatives across the medical center and health system. This hybrid position requires both remote work and in-person presence at the medical center and regional hospitals. The role will focus on driving outcomes in key areas such as readmissions reduction, service-line quality metrics, and the implementation and sustainment of Daily Monitoring Systems (DMS) and tiered huddles. In addition, this role is responsible for building strong relationships with clinical leaders and providing hands-on performance improvement support that drives measurable improvements in patient care and operational outcomes. Ideal candidates will bring demonstrated experience in performance improvement methodologies, project management, data-driven decision-making, and effective meeting facilitation. If you are passionate about advancing quality and excellence in a dynamic healthcare environment, we encourage you to apply.ResponsibilitiesDemonstrate expertise in the use of analytical and statistical tools and techniques including understanding of how process goals are established, measured and monitored.Synthesize information from relevant resources including national organizations to demonstrate current practice and identify opportunities for improvement.Produce routine reports from both internal and external databases; stay current and ensure databases are current related to specifications that may impact database results.Communicate improvement priorities and results using narrative and visual tools by create graphs and charts that accurately reflect valid interpretation of findingsGain expertise in public reporting such as various ratings and rankings; appropriately access data from public reporting organizations.Design and develop project plans including project coordination using project management tool, measurement plan, estimate costs to determine budget, incorporates evidence-based guidelines.Minimum RequirementsMaster's degree in applicable field or higher is required5 years or more experience in healthcare fieldCertification in specialty preferred within 3 years and maintained thereafter.ECU Health Medical Center, one of four academic medical centers in North Carolina, is the 974-bed flagship hospital for ECU Health and serves as the primary teaching hospital for The Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University.
