Senior Accountant / Manager

Kforce has a client in Woonsocket, RI that is seeking a Senior Accountant/Manager to take ownership of monthly close, general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and audit support. This is a hands-on accounting role requiring strong fundamentals, solid NetSuite experience, and the ability to independently manage recurring accounting responsibilities with minimal oversight. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and support the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
• Own day-to-day general ledger accounting activities
• Prepare and post recurring journal entries, accruals, and adjustments
• Prepare and maintain accurate balance sheet reconciliations
• Research and resolve account discrepancies and aged reconciling items
• Maintain fixed asset schedules and related accounting entries
• Prepare and maintain prepaid, accrual, and amortization schedules
• Ensure accounting records and supporting documentation are complete and audit-ready
• Support interim and year-end audit testing and documentation requests
• Assist with accounting cleanup and integration activities
• Improve existing accounting processes, procedures, and documentation
• Partner with Finance and other business teams to resolve accounting issues
• Support special accounting projects and initiatives as needed
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting highly preferred
• Strong Senior Accountant or Accounting Manager-level experience
• Significant hands-on monthly close experience
• Strong general ledger accounting foundation
• Experience preparing recurring journal entries
• Strong balance sheet reconciliation experience
• Fixed asset accounting experience
• Experience with prepaid expenses, accruals, and amortization schedules
• Hands-on NetSuite experience
• Strong understanding of debits, credits, and accounting principles
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to step into an active accounting environment and contribute immediately
