About Us:
Inspiration Station Early Learning Center is dedicated to providing a high-quality, play-based learning environment where children grow through exploration, relationships, and hands-on experiences. Our staff is committed to creating a safe, supportive, and engaging atmosphere for children and families.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized secretary to support the daily operations of our center. This individual will play a key role in maintaining smooth administrative functions, assisting with communications, and supporting leadership. The ideal candidate will also be flexible and willing to provide emergency classroom coverage as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
*Serve as the first point of contact for families, staff, and visitors, providing excellent customer service
*Manage phone calls, emails, and written correspondence in a timely and professional manner
*Maintain accurate records, files, and reports in compliance with state licensing requirements
*Assist with enrollment and staff communications
*Create professional documents, forms, and flyers using Google Workspace applications and Canva
*Support the leadership team with special projects and daily tasks
*Provide emergency classroom coverage when necessary to ensure smooth operation of the center.
Qualifications:
*Minimum 1–2 years of administrative or office experience preferred
*Proficiency with Google Workspace
*Experience with Canva or similar platforms for creating flyers, newsletters, and other communication tools
*Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills
*Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
*Must be able to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
Willingness to obtain and maintain all required childcare clearances (FBI Fingerprinting, PA State Police, Child Abuse)
*Flexible, reliable, and able to adapt to the needs of a fast-paced childcare environment
