CNC Programmer

CNC ProgrammerVisium Resources has been asked to identify qualified candidates for this CNC Programmer position located in Greenville, SC. This position is a contract hire opportunity which is expected to be for a duration of one year with a possibility of contract extension. This position is for 2nd shift CNC programming and shop support / development.Program, process development, and shop support for one or more of the following:Large VTL up to 2.5mLarge VBM up to 2.5mLarge head-head Gantry 5-axisLarge vertical multi-purpose turn/grindGenerate and maintain CNC programs utilizing NX-CAM or other software. This could include multi-axis milling, turning, grinding and/or EDM.Verify new CNC programs prior to release on the shop floor utilizing Vericut.Incorporate on-machine probing using Renishaw cycles for part and process validation (including error trapping)Create programs following standards and qualified machining parametersProvide CNC related support to M.E. (Manufacturing Engineer) and provide operator training during new / rebuilt machine startup and / or process improvements.Provide daily operator support in the form of CNC programming and troubleshooting support to the shop floor.Support and implement tooling & fixturing requirements associated with CNC machine tools.Generate and support workstation instructions (methods) for CNC related issues.Initiate and lead process improvement projects to improve safety, quality, cost and delivery.Provide effective communication to appropriate team members when needed.Work effectively as an individual and in a team-based environment in a matrixed organization.Work effectively in a fast-paced environment while embracing and driving positive change inside and outside the organization when appropriate.
