We are hiring an experienced Mechanical Foreman for a direct-hire opportunity with an established industrial mechanical contractor based in Palmyra, PA.

This position is for someone who can lead from the field, direct crews, read drawings, coordinate work, solve problems, and keep industrial mechanical projects moving safely and efficiently.

We are looking for a working foreman with strong experience in industrial piping, millwright work, rigging, equipment installation, fabrication, structural steel, and mechanical construction.

What You'll Do

• Lead and supervise industrial mechanical field crews
• Plan daily work and assign responsibilities to mechanics, pipefitters, welders, millwrights, and helpers
• Read and interpret blueprints, P&IDs, isometric drawings, specifications, and mechanical plans
• Coordinate piping, equipment installation, rigging, millwright, structural, and fabrication work
• Lay out work and ensure proper measurements, elevations, offsets, and installation requirements
• Coordinate material, tools, equipment, lifts, and manpower
• Work directly with project managers, superintendents, customers, and subcontractors
• Monitor productivity, quality, and job progress
• Troubleshoot field conditions and resolve installation problems
• Ensure crews follow company and jobsite safety procedures
• Maintain accurate job documentation and communicate project updates
• Assist with shutdowns, outages, equipment setting, and plant maintenance projects
• Work alongside the crew when needed to keep projects on schedule

What We're Looking For

Qualified candidates should have strong industrial mechanical construction experience and previous experience leading field crews.

• Pipefitting
• Welding and fabrication
• Millwright work
• Equipment installation

• Rigging

• Manufacturing facilities
• Food processing plants
• Mechanical construction

Ideal Candidate

• 5+ years of industrial mechanical or related field experience preferred
• Previous foreman, lead mechanic, lead pipefitter, or supervisory experience
• Strong understanding of industrial piping and mechanical systems
• Ability to independently read blueprints, P&IDs, and isometric drawings
• Ability to lay out and coordinate field installations
• Experience directing crews and maintaining production
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable working in active industrial and manufacturing environments
• Experience coordinating cranes, lifts, rigging, and material handling is highly desirable
• OSHA and other industrial safety training are a plus
• Valid driver's license required
• Must be willing to travel to project sites as needed

Pay & Work Schedule

• $30–$40/hour, depending on experience
• Full-time, direct-hire position
• Year-round work
• Overtime opportunities
• Overtime after 8 hours worked in a day
• Saturday work paid at overtime rates
• Sunday work paid at double time
• Holiday work includes premium pay
• Projects are typically located within approximately 1.5 hours of the Palmyra, PA shop
• Common project areas include Harrisburg, Lancaster, Allentown, and surrounding regions
