JOB SUMMARY \n
\n
\nThe Production Technician position is responsible for assembling standard and advanced mixer drive units and accessory components to Company specification and procedures.\n
\n
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES \n
\n

\n
• Assembles standard and advanced mixer drives per specifications and procedures. Reads assembly specifications, such as charts, blueprints, schematic diagrams, and engineering specifications to determine requirements for correct assembly.
\n
• Defines and documents assembly findings outlined in Company procedures defined as critical to quality.
\n
• Utilizes Production software to capture direct, indirect and rework time and cost.
\n
• Supports Production Supervisor to maintain or achieve quality goals and metrics.
\n
• Assists and resolves technical problems with engineering and management staff. Documents defective assemblies or parts via NCR.
\n
• Provides physical hands on training to new hires on gear drive assembly procedures.
\n
• Fill in as needed in production and test tank.
\n
• Serves as additional capacity to cover Field Service when assigned.
\n
• Operates cranes, forklifts and other shop machinery and tools.
\n
• Participate on ad-hoc project team(s) and performs other tasks as directed.
\n
• Assists with Facility Maintenance as requested.
\n
• Performs final assembly and final inspection when assigned.
\n
• Performs packing and shipping duties when assigned.
\n
• Follows safety rules and reports issues to management.
\n
• Other job tasks and duties as needed and assigned to support the production goals of the company.
\n
• Maintains work area in a clean, safe, and orderly manner.
\n

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES \n
\n

\n
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
\n
• Ability to effectively communicate information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
\n
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
\n
• Computer skills including experience with ERP/MRP systems.
\n
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
\n
• Ability to take initiative and act as a self-starter with tasks.
\n

\n
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE \n
\n

\n
• Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in a similar role in a manufacturing/production environment.
\n
• 5+ years demonstrated experience with mechanical skills and work environment.
\n
• Minimum of 1 year forklift experience.
\n
• High school education or equivalent.
\n

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision and ability to adjust focus. PPE is required. \n

\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and equipment of various sizes. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes and airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.\n
