Operating Room Assistant

Operating Room Assistant Providence Portland Medical Center – 1 FTE, Day shift (5 8‑hr shifts: 0640-1520) with rotating weekends and holidays. Functions as a member of the surgical team under the direct supervision of the registered perioperative nurse. Assists the anesthesia provider, cleans and prepares operating rooms, safely transports patients, retrieves and decontaminates equipment, stocks general supplies, and processes and maintains instruments and related equipment as needed. Responsibilities Assist with operating room setup and turnover. Support anesthesia provider during procedures. Transport patients safely to and from the operating room. Retrieve, decontaminate, and restock equipment and supplies. Process and maintain instruments and related equipment. Required Qualifications National Provider BLS – American Heart Association, valid upon hire. At least 1 year of clinical experience in an accredited hospital with operating room exposure.
