About the role

As a backend engineer at Jusbrasil, you will work on the development and evolution of high-scale distributed systems, working on products that impact millions of people in accessing legal information. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams engineering, product, data, and legal experts, contributing from technical conception to delivery, with increasing autonomy as you gain context. Our teams work with APIs, messaging, high-volume systems, and increasingly with applications that integrate LLMs and AI agents. We seek people who are comfortable in continuous learning environments and who use AI as a tool in their daily development work.

What we are looking for:

• Solid experience with backend development (Python, Go or similar)
• Familiarity with REST APIs and asynchronous communication (queues, events)
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL or similar)
• Ability to work in distributed and high-scale systems
• Good technical communication and willingness to collaborate with peers and other areas
• Use of AI integrated into development (e.g., automation, code generation, agents)

Plus points:

• Experience with high-volume systems or messaging (Kafka, RabbitMQ etc.)
• Experience with observability, monitoring, and reliability (SRE mindset)
• Experience with LLMs or integration of AI models into products
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (GCP or AWS)
• Experience in modernizing or migrating legacy systems
