Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments for patients to identify emotional, social, and financial needs, ensuring a holistic approach to care.

• Provide individual and group therapy sessions, helping patients navigate adjustment issues, grief, and coping strategies amidst their recovery journey.

• Facilitate crisis interventions by providing timely emotional support and counseling to both patients and their families during critical moments.

• Collaborate closely with medical professionals and interdisciplinary teams, ensuring that psychosocial care is integrated into the overall treatment plans.

• Coordinate post-discharge services by liaising with community organizations, thereby ensuring continuity of care and support once individuals leave the detox facility.

• Participate in hospital committees and provide social work expertise, enhancing practices and policies that impact patient care.

• Document patient interactions and treatment plans meticulously, adhering to both legal standards and hospital policies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will specifically impact patients undergoing detoxification for substance use disorders, many of whom may also be experiencing co-occurring mental health issues. By providing compassionate and informed support, you help patients and their families navigate through the complexities of addiction, reinforcing their recovery efforts and increasing their chances of successful outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.

• Current active licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of New York.

Compensation and Benefits\n
