Ideal if they are flexible to work OTJob Taxonomy: CW Contingent Worker- EHS SpecialistJob Title: EHS SpecialistJob Description: This is a contracted, full-time, on-site role based in Paris, KY.What We Are Looking ForEducation: Bachelor's degree (or in progress) in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field.Experience: 0-2 years of experience in EHSCore Skills & Competencies:Demonstrates decision-making skills to evaluate EHS risksAbility to identify hazards, perform risk assessments, and collaborate to support corrective actionsBasic knowledge of OSHA and environmental regulationsEffective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.Organizational skills with the ability to coordinate tasks and prioritize projects.Ability to work independently and in a team environmentWillingness to learn and grow in EHS professionPreferred Qualifications:First Aid/CPR/ AED CertificationOSHA 30 Hour - General IndustryKey ResponsibilitiesRegulatory Compliance & Risk Management:Assist with compliance with local, state, and federal EHS regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.)Coordinate comprehensive risk assessments with a focus on engaging employees while identifying and mitigating process hazards and repetitive risks.Assist with development of site risk register and drive corrective actions through root cause analysis and prioritizationSupport audits, inspections, and incident investigations with a focus on systemic risk reductionDemonstrate initiative and accountability in managing assigned EHS tasksTraining & Culture Building:Deliver targeted training programs on risk awareness, PSM, and JHA best practicesPartner to lead site-wide safety campaigns and employee engagement efforts to foster a proactive safety cultureContinuous improvement mindset with the ability to recommend process improvementsEnvironmental Stewardship:Support environmental compliance activities for air, wastewater, waste management, groundwater, and stormwater programs, SPCC, CERCLA, and community right-to-know requirements.Emergency Preparedness:Coordinate emergency response planning and support alignment with internal teams to ensure effective preparedness and response capabilitiesSupport post-incident analysis to identify root causes and drive continuous improvement effortsCross-Functional Collaboration:Support contractor safety programs and ensure alignment with site protocols
