Facilities Engineer

Albuquerque, NM Facilities Infrastructure ManagerThis position involves overseeing and maintaining essential facilities infrastructure to ensure the continuous operation of critical air traffic management systems within the Albuquerque, NM region. The role requires travel throughout the surrounding area to support multiple locations, serving as a key contributor to the safety and efficiency of the nation's airspace. The candidate will work at a designated FAA site, supporting long-term infrastructure and security requirements in a highly regulated environment.Responsibilities:Monitor, maintain, and optimize physical facilities, including generators, HVAC systems, racks, cabling, and site security systemsOversee vendor escort procedures, ensuring proper monitoring of visitors, contractors, and non-badged personnel at all timesLead installation, testing, and ongoing maintenance of telecommunications equipment such as switches, routers, and fiber-optic cablingMaintain and troubleshoot critical power systems, including DC power supplies, rectifiers, and battery backupsEnsure compliance with safety and regulatory standards for all facility operations and infrastructure projectsReview technical designs and contractor work to verify adherence to standards and specificationsManage physical security protocols and ensure sensitive sites are protected against unauthorized accessSupport travel to multiple regional locations, coordinating maintenance and upgrade activities as neededAssist with implementing sustainable building practices, energy-efficient systems, and regulatory compliance measuresCollaborate with cross-functional teams to support system installation, repair, and operational efficiencyQualifications:This position requires eligibility for a U.S. Government security clearance. In accordance with federal law, U.S. citizenship is required.Minimum of 8 years' experience in facilities engineering, management, or related fieldsBachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent additional experienceProven expertise in HVAC, power distribution, cabling standards, and building infrastructure systemsExperience reviewing technical design plans and contractor work for compliance with safety and technical standardsKnowledge of regulatory and safety frameworks applicable to critical infrastructureBackground in physical security standards for sensitive facilitiesStrong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skillsAbility to travel regionally, supporting multiple sites and infrastructure projectsFamiliarity with FAA programs, NAS systems, or air traffic control environments is preferredProfessional Engineer (PE) license or facility/building management certifications are advantageousPublishing Pay Range: $49.00 – $54.00 hourly This position is based in office and requires employee to work on-site.About GDH:At GDH, we believe in the power of people and the importance of caring.
