Quality Control Inspector – 1st Shift

Position: Quality Control Inspector

Location: Schofield, WI

Start Date: As Soon As Possible

Employment Term: Direct Hire

Employment Type: Full-Time

Shift: 1st Shift, Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:00 PM

Pay: $22.00–$23.00/hour, Depending on Experience

Education: High School Diploma or GED

Experience: 3 Years of Assembly and/or Quality Control Experience

Position Summary

Are you detail-oriented with a strong background in quality inspection and manufacturing? SEEK Careers/Staffing is hiring a Quality Control Inspector in Schofield, WI! This opportunity combines hands-on quality inspection of precision-manufactured components with electronic document control responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of machined metal, plastic, and aerospace composite parts and assemblies.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements.
• Complete First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) in accordance with AS9102 standards.
• Use precision measuring tools, including calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, and inspection fixtures.
• Identify defects, dimensional inaccuracies, and nonconforming materials.
• Complete inspection reports, quality records, product audits, and testing documentation.
• Maintain product, material, and calibration traceability.
• Communicate quality concerns with production, purchasing, and management.
• Administer the M-Files electronic document management system.
• Maintain document revisions, approvals, workflows, permissions, and records.
• Ensure drawings, procedures, and manufacturing documents remain accurate, current, and properly controlled.
• Assist employees with document retrieval, system functionality, and M-Files training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years of assembly and/or quality control experience.
• Previous manufacturing, assembly, or packaging experience preferred.
• Experience inspecting machined, molded, or composite components preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
• Knowledge of AS9102 First Article Inspections and ASME Y14.5 GD&T.
• Experience with precision measuring instruments and inspection procedures.
• Familiarity with M-Files or electronic document management systems beneficial.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Work Environment

• On-site position combining manufacturing quality inspections and office-based document control.
• Manufacturing areas may be noisy.
• Safety glasses required.
• Must be able to frequently lift up to 20 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 100 lbs.
• Must be able to frequently push/pull up to 25 lbs. and occasionally up to 100 lbs.
• Occasional evening or weekend work may be required.
