Clinical Nurse Coordinator OR RN Ortho Neuro

HCA Healthcare is seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator (RN Ortho Neuro) to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team and provide leadership at the bedside for our orthopedic and neuroscience patient population. In this role, you will function as a working RN and frontline clinical leader, coordinating the delivery of safe, evidence‑based nursing care on an Ortho/Neuro unit while supporting both patients and staff. You will collaborate closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, case managers, and support staff to ensure high‑quality, patient‑centered care, timely discharges, and smooth care transitions. The Clinical Nurse Coordinator will help manage daily patient flow, oversee admissions and discharges, and support staffing assignments to maintain appropriate nurse‑to‑patient ratios and continuity of care.

As a key clinical resource, you will mentor and coach bedside nurses, support ongoing competency development, and reinforce compliance with clinical policies, regulatory requirements, and best practices in orthopedic and neurologic nursing. You will participate in rounding, monitor changes in patient status, and assist with complex assessments, pain management, post‑operative care, neuro checks, and early mobilization, escalating concerns when needed. You will help lead quality and patient safety initiatives focused on infection prevention, fall reduction, pressure injury prevention, and optimization of patient outcomes following orthopedic procedures, spine surgeries, and neurologic events.

This position requires strong clinical judgment, excellent communication, and a commitment to compassionate, family‑centered care. You will act as a liaison between nursing staff, physicians, patients, and families, helping to resolve concerns and ensuring that patients and caregivers understand care plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
