We are seeking an experienced, responsible, nurturing Teacher and/or Float for a full time, 40 hour opening.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide a nurturing, engaging, safe environment for children ages 6 weeks - 9 years old
• Work collaboratively with team members to implement age-appropriate educational curriculum and activities
• Ensure developmental milestones are supported
• Communicate and partner with families to provide the best care and education for their children

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years experience working in a licensed child care center is preferred.
• Some coursework in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred.
• Candidates with a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential will be considered.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds on a regular basis.
• Must be able to perform physical activities such as standing for extended periods, bending, stooping, and sitting on the floor.
• Must possess the agility to move promptly from a seated to a standing position to respond to emergencies.
• Capable of participating in activities such as dancing, walking, diapering, and cleaning, both indoors and outdoors, in all four seasons.
• Must have acceptable hearing and visual capabilities to adequately supervise children by sight and sound.

Schedule and Location

• Full-time, 40 hours/week, Monday - Friday
• In-person position in Torrington CT
