This role is at our Anaheim location and has a work schedule of Monday - Friday, 6:30am - 3:00pm.

Your Role on the Team

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

• Review and resolve professional fee billing and collections accounts to ensure timely and accurate reimbursement from Medicare, Medi-Cal, commercial insurance, Workers' Compensation, and other payers.
• Investigate billing issues, correct claim errors, and follow up on outstanding accounts using aging reports, worklists, and payer correspondence.
• Research and analyze patient accounts to resolve billing discrepancies while providing excellent customer service to patients, providers, and insurance carriers.
• Maintain productivity standards while ensuring compliance with payer guidelines, organizational policies, and billing procedures.

What It Takes to be Successful

Required: Experience with professional fee medical billing and collections, including Medicare, Medi-Cal, commercial insurance, and HMO/capitation plans. Ability to review, analyze, and resolve patient accounts with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with a strong customer service orientation. Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet productivity goals, and work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Ability to read, write, and follow written and oral instructions in English.

Pay Rate: $26.58/hour - $27.10/hour

Temporary Employment This is a temporary employment recruitment reporting to the UCI Temporary Employment Services (TES) Department. Interviewing and hiring is based on internal hiring needs and how well the candidate's experience matches the assignment requirements. Certain temporary assignments may require clearance of a health physical or require a valid California Driver's License for driving university vehicles. The majority of our temporary positions are Monday Friday, 8:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m. We also have occasional part-time, weekend, and evening hours available, depending on the assignment.
