Position: Project Manager (Mechanical) or Site Manager (Mechanical)
*Note: In our organization, these positions are equivalent to the Site Lead and Deputy Site Lead roles, carrying full
accountability for large-scale mechanical construction project delivery.
Role Overview
Samsung E&C America, Inc. is seeking a highly experienced Project Manager (Mechanical) or Site
Manager (Mechanical) to lead mechanical and process utility systems for our large-scale semiconductor
Fab project in Texas. We are looking for a seasoned construction leader who possesses a strong
foundation in mechanical field operations and the strategic communication skills to effectively manage
relationships with clients, regulatory authorities, and key subcontractors. You will be a vital part of our
leadership team, ensuring that project objectives are met through effective field coordination and
technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Field Leadership: Direct and oversee onsite mechanical construction operations, ensuring all
activities are executed according to project specifications and engineering standards.
Stakeholder & Regulatory Management: Act as a key point of contact for clients and local
authorities. Maintain professional, transparent communication to ensure project alignment and
compliance with local regulations.
Subcontractor Coordination: Manage and supervise key mechanical subcontractors to ensure
productivity, adherence to site safety standards, and quality of work. Provide clear direction and
oversight to keep onsite operations moving efficiently.
Project Execution: Monitor and manage the day-to-day progress of mechanical installations,
including HVAC, process piping, and utility systems. Ensure that project milestones, budget
goals, and quality benchmarks are achieved through diligent site supervision.
Problem Solving: Utilize your extensive field experience to resolve technical conflicts, improve
constructability, and address daily operational challenges in a high-pressure construction
environment.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or a related engineering discipline)
is required.
Experience:
Minimum 10+ years of progressive experience in large-scale industrial or heavy
commercial construction.
Professional Leadership Experience: Must have a proven track record of holding
a senior-level or deputy-level leadership position within the mechanical construction
division of a competitive, top-tier U.S. construction firm. You must have experience
leading complex mechanical scopes and overseeing entire project segments.
Technical Expertise: Strong, hands-on mechanical construction experience with a deep
understanding of field technical processes and construction methodology.
Core Competencies:
Leadership & Management: Demonstrated ability to lead onsite teams and manage
large-scale mechanical operations toward successful project delivery.
Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills for effectively managing relationships
with diverse stakeholders, including clients, government officials, and internal project
teams.
Technical Proficiency: Comprehensive knowledge of U.S. mechanical codes, installation
methods, and standard project management practices.
Preferred Qualifications (Great Plus)
Semiconductor Fab Experience: Direct experience in semiconductor manufacturing facility
construction (cleanroom systems, process piping, sub-fab utilities).
Texas Regional Experience: Prior construction project execution experience within Texas and
familiarity with local market conditions.
Language Skills: Proficiency in both English and Korean is a plus.
Certifications: PE license or PMP certification.
Annual Base Salary (Exempt)
: $150K ~ $250K
Benefits and Perks
Annual Bonus: While not guaranteed, you can generally expect a yearly bonus between $5,000
and $6,000 based on performance.
