Controls Technician Department: Controls Employment Type: Full Time Location: North Clarendon, VT Reporting To: Controls Department Manager Compensation: $30.00 - $35.00 / hour Description Alliance Group is seeking full-time, experienced Controls Technicians in North Clarendon, VT to join our growing Building Automation/Controls team. This is a field-based position that is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of various building automation systems. This person will demonstrate in-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, building automation systems, energy management, network communications, and build and maintain strong customer relationships. We are willing to train the right person!! Pay range starts at $30/hour, however compensation is negotiable and we welcome transparent conversations with qualified candidates. Key Responsibilities Role-Specific Duties: Safely perform scheduled preventive maintenance routines with senior technician. Assist in commissioning and startup to ensure proper operation of systems. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair wiring, hardware, and software. Diagnose communication problems. Create, load, test, and tune system databases. Install, replace, and recommission control systems devices, equipment, and software. Provide on-site training to customers. Create and maintain accurate test records and other documentation. Organization-Specific Duties: Provide exceptional customer service by communicating and fully explaining current issues, timelines, and resolutions to customers when appropriate. Identify and report to owner potential opportunities for additional business (newer system, service contracts, and additional services). Document all installed equipment upon arrival: make, model, serial number, necessary test measurements, and pictures as necessary. Maintain a clean and organized work environment and company work vehicle. Essential Qualifications and Competencies Role-Specific: 2+ years of building automation experience required 2+ years of HVAC or electrical experience preferred Background in Johnson Controls (JCI), Honeywell, or Schneider Controls preferred Organization-Specific: Strong interpersonal communication skills. Ability to work efficiently. High level of reliability, follow-through, discretion and integrity. Proactive, positive problem-solving skills. Written and oral communication skills. Must maintain a company vehicle. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs on a daily basis Must be able to climb up and down Scaffolding, Ladders, Stairs as job requires. U.S. citizenship or a current, valid U.S. work permit is mandatory Applicants must have a valid, unrestricted driver's license. This job requires performing duties inside federal/state government buildings, public schools, and other sensitive population facilities.
