Work Environment

This position is located at our outpatient office in Brooklyn, New York, where you'll engage directly with patients in a modern, well-equipped facility. The role is full-time, with a typical work schedule from Monday to Friday, with operational hours from 2 PM to 8 PM, allowing for work-life balance while making a significant impact in patient care.

Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Burke Orthopedic Physical Therapy, your responsibilities will include:

• Evaluating patients' physical conditions through thorough assessments to create individualized therapy plans.
• Collaborating with physicians and fellow healthcare team members to deliver comprehensive care tailored to each patient's unique needs.
• Implementing and overseeing therapeutic interventions throughout the continuum of care, ensuring adherence to best practices and ethical standards.
• Conducting regular evaluations of therapeutic progress and modifying treatment plans as necessary to optimize recovery outcomes.
• Providing education and guidance to patients, families, and caregivers on therapeutic exercises and the proper use of assistive devices.
• Prioritizing your caseload, coordinating team assignments, and conducting hand-offs in a manner that promotes seamless patient care.
• Engaging in continuous professional development to stay current with the best practices in orthopedic physical therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your focus will be on both adult and pediatric populations, encompassing a variety of orthopedic conditions such as post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, chronic pain management, and more. You will be expected to customize therapy to meet the diverse needs of our patients and ensure a positive therapeutic experience that promotes engagement and recovery.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or a related field is required.
• A valid Physical Therapy license to practice in New York.
• Completion of Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification is required within the first 30 days of employment.

Preferred Experience

• While no prior experience is required, candidates with a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree will be preferred.
• Exposure to orthopedic patient populations in clinical settings is desirable.

Compensation and Benefits
