Cath Lab Technologist in Ithaca, NY

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain advanced imaging equipment for procedures in the cath lab and interventional radiology suite
• Assist physicians during cardiac catheterizations and interventional radiological procedures, ensuring accurate imaging and patient safety
• Perform high-quality X-rays in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines
• Prepare patients for imaging procedures, explaining steps and ensuring comfort and safety throughout
• Practice strict adherence to infection control, safety protocols, and quality assurance standards
• Document patient information, procedure details, and imaging results with accuracy and confidentiality
• Troubleshoot and promptly report any equipment malfunctions or concerns to appropriate personnel
• Collaborate with nursing staff, physicians, and other team members to coordinate patient care

Required Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience as a Cath Lab Tech, IR Tech, and/or Radiologic Technologist
• Current ARRT certification and state licensure (or eligibility) in radiologic technology
• Proficiency in performing complex cardiac and vascular studies, radiographic procedures, and sterile technique
• Strong communication skills, ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to patient-centered care
• BLS certification (current)
