CRISIS MENTAL HEALTH THERAPIST

Tacoma, WA Overview Catholic Community Services, Family Behavioral Health is seeking a Crisis Mental Health Therapist to join our mobile crisis team. The clinician will provide flexible, evidence‑based intensive care for children and youth in community settings and family homes, working in partnership with families, hospitals and community resources. Responsibilities Respond to children and youth in crisis settings including hospital emergency rooms, community locations, and homes. Conduct empathetic clinical assessments and work with families and emergency staff to develop safety and stabilization plans. Collaborate closely with family members and community partners to facilitate the child’s return to the most stable environment, typically the child’s own home. Maintain a flexible schedule that supports 24/7 mobile crisis response and on‑call rotations as required. Provide high‑quality, culturally competent care, coordinating with other services to achieve long‑term safety and stability. Qualifications Master’s degree in Behavioral Sciences or an equivalent accredited program. Knowledge of Wraparound with Intensive Services (WISe) principles or crisis response strategies preferred. Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation and good driving record. Fluency in English; bilingual Spanish or other languages is a plus with a language stipend. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Demonstrated cultural competency and ability to provide services in multicultural settings. Capacity to assess safety in community and home environments and respond to emerging crises. Successful completion of required background clearance prior to offer. Compensation Starting base salary: $86,611.20 - $96,345.60 per year. First responder pay: $1,800 per year. Crisis team member differential: $125 per pay period (bi‑monthly). Performance‑based pay: up to $8,000 per year. Licensure pay: $250 per pay period (bi‑monthly). Bilingual stipend: $100-200 per pay period (bi‑monthly) based on proficiency. Benefits 12 paid holidays + 1 personal holiday each year. 3 weeks vacation per year. 12 sick days per year. Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
